I am an art historian and art critic, whose interests lie in contemporary and media art. I graduated in History of Art from the University of Liège, Belgium, where I also earned a complementary degree in computer sciences applied to humanities. After working as an assistant at the Artistic Collections of the University of Liège, I joined the staff of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium in Brussels, where he I am currently head of the Digital Museum department, collaborator of the Modern and Contemporary Art department, and conducting various research projects linked to the digitization of the artistic and cultural heritage, and its online access.

President of the Belgian section of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), member of the International Council Of Museums (ICOM), I regularly publish articles on contemporary art for various magazines, catalogues or galleries. I am Belgium editor for Flash Art International. As a freelance curator, I have organized several exhibitions in Belgium and abroad.

Member of the Digital Art Commission of the Ministry of Culture since February 2009, I am interested in the way network technologies interact with contemporary art. Lecturer at the National Superior School for Visual Arts (ENSAV – La Cambre, Brussels) since 2007, I teach a class entitled “Media and Contemporary Art”, where I underline the challenges of today’s digital societies from an artistic point of view. I have been invited to teach the same class at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels since 2010.
